Experienced HVAC Technician looking to step off the tools and progress into management?
We're partnering with an established commercial HVAC contractor in Western Sydney seeking an experienced Senior HVAC Technician, Leading Hand or Supervisor looking to take the next step in their career.

This is a genuine long-term opportunity to develop into Project Management and potentially senior leadership, working directly alongside the company's experienced management team.

The Company
Our client is a well-established mechanical services contractor specialising in commercial and industrial HVAC projects across Sydney.

Working predominantly with Tier 2 builders, the business delivers projects valued between $500k and $2m, including warehouses, logistics facilities and commercial developments.

The Role
Initially, you'll utilise your hands-on HVAC experience while gradually developing your supervision, project coordination and management responsibilities.

Your duties will include:

• Supporting commercial HVAC installation, servicing and technical operations.
• Supervising technicians, installers and subcontractors.
• Coordinating site activities, materials and suppliers.
• Liaising with builders, clients and other trades.
• Assisting with project planning, scheduling and delivery.
• Developing skills in estimating, budgeting and project management.
• Progressively taking on greater leadership and operational responsibilities.

About You

• Trade-qualified HVAC/Refrigeration Technician.
• Ideally 8–10+ years' commercial HVAC experience.
• Strong hands-on technical background across commercial HVAC systems.
• Experience mentoring technicians, supervising teams or coordinating works.
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Genuine ambition to progress into supervision and Project Management.
• Willingness to remain hands-on initially while developing management skills.

Previous project management experience is not essential. We're more interested in your technical experience, attitude and long-term career ambitions.
