About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists to join a globally recognised specialist in critical cooling and data centre infrastructure. Due to continued growth, major project wins, and an expanding service portfolio, we are seeking HVAC Service Technicians across a range of experience levels to join a highly skilled technical team in Sydney.

This is a unique opportunity to move beyond traditional commercial HVAC work and gain exposure to some of Australia's most critical environments, including hyperscale data centres, healthcare facilities, telecommunications infrastructure, and mission-critical cooling systems.

Whether you are an experienced HVAC Technician looking to specialise further or a Senior Technician seeking exposure to advanced critical cooling technologies, this role offers structured training, career development and long-term growth opportunities.

About the Role
Working within a specialist service and technical team, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing a wide range of critical cooling and HVAC systems across Sydney.

You will receive comprehensive product and technical training and gain exposure to advanced cooling technologies used within data centres and other critical infrastructure environments.

Duties include:
  • Planned preventative maintenance across HVAC and critical cooling systems
  • Reactive breakdown response and fault finding
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, refrigeration and control faults
  • Servicing CRAC units, precision cooling equipment and critical cooling systems
  • Working with chillers, AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors and associated plant
  • Performing system testing, inspections and performance checks
  • Working with controls, BMS systems and associated equipment
  • Preparing service reports and maintenance documentation
  • Building strong relationships with clients and site stakeholders
  • Participating in an on-call roster (with additional allowances and overtime)
  • Assisting with commissioning activities and project support as skills develop

What We're Looking For
We are open to speaking with technicians from a variety of backgrounds, provided you have strong service and maintenance experience and a genuine desire to continue developing your technical skills.

Essential:
  • Trade qualification in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
  • Current ARCtick Refrigerant Handling Licence
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability
  • Experience servicing and maintaining commercial HVAC systems
  • Ability to work independently and manage customer relationships
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Experience with the following is highly regarded:
  • CRAC units and precision cooling systems
  • Data centre environments
  • Chillers and chilled water systems
  • AHUs, FCUs and package units
  • Pumps, motors and VSDs
  • BMS and control systems
  • Critical infrastructure environments
  • Commissioning experience
  • Electrical trade qualification (dual trade)
