Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, we are seeking an Estimating Manager to lead preconstruction and estimating activities across a diverse portfolio of projects.
Projects across workplace, education, healthcare, retail, hospitality, industrial and government sectors.
This opportunity is also well suited to a high-performing Senior Estimator looking to take the next step into a leadership position.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the estimating function across commercial newbuild, fitout and refurbishment projects
- Manage the end-to-end tender process from initial review through to final submission
- Develop pricing strategies and provide commercial input on major bids and opportunities
- Prepare and review detailed estimates, BOQs, cost plans and value engineering solutions
- Assess tender risks, opportunities and procurement strategies
- Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and clients
- Mentor and support junior and intermediate estimators, helping drive best-practice estimating processes
- Work closely with project teams and senior leadership to secure and win profitable work
Skills & Experience
- 8+ years' experience in estimating within a commercial construction, fitout or refurbishment contractor environment
- Previous leadership experience or a demonstrated desire to step into an Estimating Manager position
- Strong understanding of tendering methodologies, procurement and commercial construction practices
- Experience pricing projects across commercial, workplace, education, healthcare, retail, government or industrial sectors
- Proficient in CostX, Cubit or similar estimating software
- Strong commercial acumen, communication skills and stakeholder management abilities
