The project will generate enough renewable energy to power more than 700,000 households while avoiding nearly 3 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions and delivering significant economic benefits across regional Queensland.

About the Role

As part of the Australian Service team, the Queensland Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in managing a team of Site Leads and Service Technicians to ensure the safe, timely, and high-quality delivery of service activities across the MacIntyre Wind Farm.

You will lead and support a field-based team, regularly engaging with technicians on site to drive operational performance, maintain turbine availability, and ensure best-practice safety and service standards.

This role is site-based at MacIntyre Wind Farm (near Warwick, QLD), Monday to Friday, requiring a hands-on leadership approach and strong on-site presence.


Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and understand KPIs across the service business within your teams
  • Manage site teams to ensure safe, effective work is completed to the required standards, including performance management and development
  • Drive turbine availability and oversee operational performance across the service area
  • Control operational costs and manage stock levels
  • Recruit, develop, and train Service Technicians to maintain a high-performing team
  • Ensure HSE compliance within your service area, implementing both internal and external regulations
  • Use operational data to monitor team and wind farm performance and identify improvement opportunities
  • Maintain quality standards across all service activities
  • Facilitate a smooth handover from Project Management to Service following energisation
  • Plan for future service points and activities in response to business growth and operational requirements
  • Oversee site safety auditing and reporting activities
  • Manage customer operational matters and address concerns relating to technician performance and work quality
  • Review and ensure timely submission of site reports including Maintenance, Availability, HSE, and timekeeping data
  • Support additional operational requirements as needed
Career / Job Experience
  • Experience within the wind industry or a comparable field-based industrial sector, such as renewable energy, solar, power generation, mining, oil & gas, or other large-scale infrastructure environments.
  • Experience working within matrix organisations
  • Proven experience managing remote or field-based operational teams
  • Strong people leadership and team management experience
Qualifications & Personal Profile
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Knowledge of relevant country-specific laws and regulations
  • Valid Driver’s Licence
  • Experience managing complex operational environments
  • Strong problem-solving capability with a systematic and structured approach to work
  • Willingness to travel regularly, including overnight stays as required
