This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who combines strong electrical knowledge with experience managing data and communications installations. You'll play a key role in supervising site operations, leading project teams, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
The Role Reporting to the Project and Operations teams, you will oversee the delivery of electrical and communications works across multiple infrastructure projects throughout Sydney.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate electrical, communications, and structured cabling works on site.
- Lead and manage site teams of up to 10 electricians, communications technicians, apprentices, and subcontractors.
- Drive project delivery while maintaining quality, safety, and programme objectives.
- Interpret electrical and communications drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and client stakeholders.
- Oversee structured cabling, fibre optic, control systems, and associated infrastructure installations.
- Monitor productivity and ensure works are delivered in accordance with project schedules.
- Mentor and develop team members while fostering a positive site culture.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety procedures.
- Current NSW Electrical Licence.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Proven experience supervising electrical construction projects.
- Strong background in data and communications infrastructure, including structured cabling and fibre optic networks.
- Demonstrated experience managing teams of up to 10 personnel.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholders and project priorities.
- Experience working within commercial, industrial, telecommunications, data centre, or critical infrastructure environments.
- ACMA Registration.
- Fibre optic installation and testing experience.
- Exposure to BMS, EMS, ECMS, or other control systems.
- Previous experience delivering data centre or mission-critical infrastructure projects.
- Experience managing both electrical and communications workstreams on large-scale projects.
