Join a growing equipment hire company supporting customers across construction, logistics, warehousing and commercial industries.
We’re looking for a qualified Diesel Mechanic / Field Service Technician to join the team in a hands-on workshop and field-based role, servicing, maintaining and repairing a range of equipment.
This is a great opportunity for a qualified mechanic from a Forklift or EWP background who is looking for a varied role and the opportunity to develop their skills across different types of equipment.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Servicing, maintaining and repairing diesel & hydraulic equipment
  • Carrying out preventative maintenance, scheduled servicing and mechanical repairs
  • Diagnosing and fault-finding diesel engines, hydraulic and mechanical systems
  • Attending breakdowns and carrying out repairs onsite and in the workshop
  • Completing inspections and preparing equipment for hire
  • Conducting routine maintenance and safety inspections
  • Carrying out breakdown response and troubleshooting
  • Communicating directly with customers and providing professional onsite service
  • Supporting general workshop duties and keeping equipment maintained to a high standard
  • Ensuring all equipment is safe, reliable and ready for customers
  
What You’ll Need
  • Certificate III in Diesel, Mobile Plant, Heavy Vehicle or a related mechanical trade
  • Previous experience as a qualified mechanic within a workshop, field service, forklift, EWP or equipment environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and practical troubleshooting skills
  • Good diesel engine diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
  • Experience with mechanical and hydraulic systems
  • Professional approach when dealing directly with customers
  • Current driver’s licence
