That's what I'm looking for here.
I've known this Sydney studio for some time, and they're looking for someone who understands quality multi-residential architecture. You might already be leading projects, or you could be an Architect ready to take on more responsibility.
What's important is that you know Class 2, can take ownership and still care about the design, detailing and what eventually gets built.
Your portfolio will matter. They're much less concerned about whether you've used exactly the same software and more interested in the quality of the architecture you've worked on and what you personally contributed.
What you'll be doing
- Lead quality Class 2 multi-residential projects
- Work across design, documentation and delivery
- Coordinate clients, consultants and project teams
- Remain hands-on with documentation and detailing
- Take ownership and make decisions
- Guide younger Architects and Graduates
- Real ownership of your projects
- Design involvement alongside delivery
- Work closely with experienced senior Architects
- A studio where materials and detailing matter
- Opportunity to bring your Class 2 experience into a more design-focused environment
- 4+ years' local post-graduate architectural experience
- Strong Australian Class 2 multi-residential experience
- Architectural qualifications
- A portfolio demonstrating high-quality design work
- Strong documentation and detailing ability
- Confidence taking ownership and making decisions
- ArchiCAD welcomed, but not essential
- NSW Registration welcomed, but not essential
- Full, unrestricted Australian working rights (no sponsorship available) and currently residing in Australia
I've recruited for this studio before, and I've always associated their work with attention to design, materials and detailing.
That's also why I wouldn't rule out a good Architect because they haven't used ArchiCAD. If you've delivered quality Class 2 projects and your portfolio shows you care about good architecture, I'd much rather have the conversation.
