We are seeking experienced HV Electricians to join the EPC delivery team on a major utility-scale solar farm project in regional Victoria.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced HV electrical professionals looking for a consistent 11/3 roster and the opportunity to work on a major renewable energy project.
About the Role Working as part of the EPC construction team, you will be responsible for HV electrical works across the solar farm, with a strong focus on high-voltage switching, isolation and Lock Out / Tag Out (LOTO) activities.
Key responsibilities include:
HV electrical installation, testing and commissioning
- HV switching and isolation activities
- HV electrical installation, testing and commissioning
- Carrying out LOTO in accordance with approved procedures
- Ensuring electrical equipment and systems are safely isolated prior to work
- HV cable installation, termination and testing
- Electrical inspections and fault finding
- Supporting energisation and commissioning activities
- Completing permits, isolation records and other required documentation
- Working closely with construction, commissioning and electrical teams
- Ensuring all works comply with project procedures, Australian Standards and WHS requirements
- Current Australian Electrical Licence
- Demonstrated experience working with HV electrical systems
- Practical experience with HV switching, isolation and LOTO
- Previous experience on large-scale infrastructure, renewable energy, utilities or similar projects
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and documentation
- Strong understanding of electrical safety and isolation procedures
- High level of safety awareness and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively within a large EPC project team
- Current White Card
- Working at Heights and relevant HV competencies/tickets
- Victoria-based candidates strongly preferred
