We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join the Electrical Balance of Plant team on a major infrastructure project in Australia.
This is a 12-month contract opportunity for an experienced electrical professional with strong site supervision and construction experience. You’ll be responsible for overseeing electrical works on site, coordinating contractors and ensuring activities are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
The Role
Reporting into the site leadership team, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of electrical construction activities.
You will work closely with project management, engineering, contractors and other site disciplines to ensure works are delivered in line with project requirements, specifications and schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day electrical construction activities.
- Lead and coordinate electrical subcontractors, crews and site personnel.
- Monitor progress against project schedules and construction milestones.
- Ensure electrical works are completed safely and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and procedures.
- Conduct site inspections and identify potential safety, quality and construction issues.
- Coordinate with engineering and project teams to resolve technical and site issues.
- Review electrical drawings, work packs, method statements and relevant documentation.
- Monitor contractor performance, productivity and compliance.
- Support testing, commissioning and handover activities.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality and project delivery.
- Provide regular updates on progress, issues and site activities.
We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor who is confident managing electrical construction activities within a large-scale project environment.
You will ideally have:
- Electrical trade qualification and/or relevant electrical qualifications.
- Proven experience supervising electrical construction projects.
- Experience managing electrical subcontractors and site crews.
- Strong understanding of electrical installation, construction, testing and commissioning.
- Experience working on major infrastructure, industrial, energy or construction projects.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
- Strong knowledge of Australian electrical safety and construction requirements.
- Excellent communication, coordination and leadership skills.
- A proactive approach to safety, quality and problem-solving.
- Relevant Australian electrical licences and site-based qualifications.
