A well-established specialist structural engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer with strong post-tensioning experience to join its growing North West Sydney team.

The Role
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you'll lead the delivery of post-tensioning and reinforced concrete design projects from concept through to construction. You'll work closely with architects, builders and developers to deliver practical, buildable engineering solutions while providing technical leadership across the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of post-tensioned concrete structures.
- Coordinate projects from concept through to construction.
- Undertake structural analysis and detailed design for reinforced concrete structures.
- Liaise directly with clients, architects, builders and other consultants.
- Attend site inspections and provide engineering support during construction.
- Mentor and support junior engineers.
- Ensure designs comply with Australian Standards and the National Construction Code.
You will be an experienced Structural Engineer with a passion for technically challenging projects and post-tensioning design.
Ideally, you'll have:
- A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Proven experience in post-tensioning or reinforced concrete structural design.
- Strong understanding of structural behaviour and buildability principles.
- Experience using structural design software such as RAPT, RAM Concept or similar.
- Sound knowledge of Australian Building Codes and Standards.
- Site experience, including inspections and resolving construction-related issues.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
- CPEng, NER or NSW Registered Professional Engineer accreditation (highly regarded but not essential).
