About the Role
This is an opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Engineer who is ready to take the next step towards a Project Manager position.
Working closely with experienced Project Managers and senior leadership, you'll take ownership of major project packages while becoming heavily involved in the commercial and technical aspects of project delivery. You'll be given genuine responsibility from day one, with a clear pathway into Project Management as the business continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering and technical delivery of luxury Class 2 residential projects valued from $40M+
- Manage design coordination, RFIs, shop drawings, procurement and subcontractor management
- Drive programme outcomes alongside the Project Manager and Site Team
- Oversee QA, ITPs, inspections and defect management
- Coordinate consultants, authorities and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle
- Assist with procurement, cost reporting, forecasting and commercial management
- Mentor Project Engineers and support the development of junior team members
- Play a key role in delivering projects safely, on programme and to an exceptional quality standard
- Experience as a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer with a reputable commercial or residential builder
- Strong background delivering Class 2 residential, commercial or mixed-use projects
- Excellent technical, planning and coordination skills
- Ability to build strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants and clients
- Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
- Ambition to progress into a Project Manager role within the next few years
- Clear pathway into Project Management
