We're working with a growing Brisbane-based design and construct contractor specialising in industrial construction projects.
With a strong pipeline of work and an expanding business, they're looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager who can take ownership of projects and play an important role in the company's continued growth.
Projects typically range from $2M–$5M in construction value, with the capability to deliver projects up to $20M.
About the Role
This is an opportunity for a Site Manager who enjoys running their own ship.
You'll take responsibility for the end-to-end management of site operations, leading subcontractors and coordinating all on-site activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard.
Working within a growing, close-knit business, you'll need to be comfortable operating autonomously, making decisions, solving problems and taking accountability for project delivery, while maintaining close communication with the wider management team.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of day-to-day site operations from commencement through to project completion.
- Manage subcontractors, trades and site personnel.
- Coordinate construction programmes, resources, materials and site logistics.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to the required quality standards.
- Work closely with Project Managers, consultants, clients and suppliers.
- Identify and resolve site issues, proactively managing construction risks.
- Maintain strong site safety practices and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Drive accountability and maintain a positive, productive site environment.
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within commercial or industrial construction.
- Experience delivering design and construct projects would be highly regarded.
- Comfortable managing projects independently and taking ownership of the entire site operation.
- Strong subcontractor management, programming and coordination skills.
- Commercially aware, organised and proactive in resolving issues.
- A hands-on approach with the ability to make decisions and get things done.
- Comfortable working within a growing business where flexibility, initiative and accountability are important.
- Opportunity to join a growing business with an expanding project pipeline.
- Typically $2M–$5M projects, with exposure to projects up to $20M.
- A high level of autonomy and ownership over your projects.
- Direct access to decision-makers without the layers of a large corporate builder.
- Opportunity to grow alongside the business and play an important role in its future.
