I've met plenty of people working in proposals over the years. The really good ones don't just get submissions out the door. They understand what makes a business stand out and know how to bring that through in the finished proposal.

That's the type of person I'm looking for here.

I'm recruiting for an established workplace Design & Construct business looking for someone to take ownership of its proposals function.

They need someone who can manage the process, work closely with different teams and make sure every submission is well written, visually considered and competitive.

You'll also have a Proposal and Graphics Coordinator working with you, so there's an opportunity to guide someone who's still developing their experience.

Why this role is worth considering

This isn't simply about managing deadlines and pulling information together. You'll have a real say in how the business presents itself to prospective clients, from the written content through to the graphics and overall presentation.

It's a hands-on management role where you'll be trusted to take ownership of the proposals process while supporting a developing team member.

What you'll be doing

• Manage proposals and submissions from start to finish
• Coordinate input from design, construction and wider teams
• Develop and review written content
• Oversee graphics, layouts and presentation quality
• Manage deadlines and competing priorities
• Guide and develop the Proposal and Graphics Coordinator
• Ensure submissions are accurate, consistent and competitive

What they're looking for

• Proposals, bids or submissions experience within Construction and/or Design
• Proposal Manager, Bid Manager or Submissions Manager background
• Strong Senior Proposal Coordinators ready to step up considered
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• A really good eye for graphics and visual presentation
• Strong organisation and attention to detail
• Comfortable working autonomously in a busy environment
• Confidence guiding and supporting a junior team member
• Full, unrestricted Australian working rights (no sponsorship available) and currently residing in Australia

They're not looking for a Graphic Designer, but someone who understands how good writing, graphics and layout come together to make a strong proposal.
