This is a key role for someone with solid experience in energy market operations, PPA settlements, and market forecasting. Based on the role's scope and the need to engage with mid-level management, this position suits a candidate with established credibility in the energy sector - typically mid-level seniority or someone with strong foundational experience ready to step up. 

Responsibilities
  • Manage PPA settlements and oversee market forecasting activities that directly support trading decisions
  • Work alongside expert modellers and contribute to strategic market analysis and positioning
  • Engage confidently with internal stakeholders and demonstrate the judgment to challenge assumptions when needed
  • Provide actionable insights on pricing, risk, and strategy.
  • Produce concise market briefings and analytics for senior management, clients, and counterparties.
Requirements
  • Degree in Commerce, Engineering, Economics, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in market forecasting within the energy sector
  • Solid track record managing PPA settlements and related commercial transactions
  • Comfortable working in a trading environment and understanding of energy market mechanics
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present findings and recommendations to management
  • Collaborative mindset with the confidence to contribute ideas and push back constructively when appropriate
  • Mandarin speaker
