The Role
- FIFO on a 10/4 roster
- 10-12 Hour days
- Location: South Australia
- Start date: ASAP
- Duration: 12 Months
- Flights and accommodation included
- Continuity testing to instruments and powered devices, including motors, across 24V DC, 240V AC and 415V three phase
- Earthing testing
- Rotation testing of drives
- Power isolation of electrical devices, both field and remote
- Reading single line diagrams (SLDs), identifying isolators on drawings and correlating them with field devices
- Following and executing lock out tag out procedures
- Checking equipment protection settings, including overload protection and ramp up/torque protection, based on equipment and process requirements
- Troubleshooting equipment performance issues caused by electrical faults, including checking VSD settings against load types
- Working with the commissioning team to establish requirements for powering up equipment
- Monitoring load performance and drive temperatures during process commissioning
- Functional testing to confirm PLC logic drives the correct event sequence, and troubleshooting any roadblocks such as faulty switches or sensors
- SA Electrical License
- HV switching ticket (essential)
- Previous commissioning experience
- Ability to read and interpret SLDs and electrical drawings
- Sound understanding of isolation and LOTO procedures
- Experience with VSDs and PLC driven systems
