The Opportunity We are currently working with a well-established crane hire business in Brisbane who are looking to appoint an experienced Crane Supervisor to oversee day-to-day crane operations and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
This is a hands-on supervisory position suited to an experienced Crane Operator, Senior Crane Operator, Crane Foreman, Leading Hand, Rigger/Dogman or existing Crane Supervisor looking to take the next step in their career.
You will play a key role in coordinating crane operations, supporting operators and crews, liaising with customers and ensuring all lifting activities are completed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate crane operations across various projects and sites
- Lead and support crane operators, riggers and dogmen
- Liaise with clients, site managers and project teams
- Assist with lift planning, site assessments and job requirements
- Ensure lifting operations are carried out in accordance with safety procedures and relevant regulations
- Review and assist with SWMS, lift plans and associated documentation
- Coordinate equipment, personnel and resources to ensure jobs run efficiently
- Identify and resolve operational issues on site
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality and customer service
- Provide leadership and guidance to the wider crane operations team
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating upcoming works
You could come from a:
- Crane Supervisor / Crane Foreman background
- Senior Crane Operator background
- Crane Operator with leadership experience
- Crane Technician
- Rigger / Dogman background with significant crane experience
- Leading Hand within the crane/lifting industry
- 10+ years' experience within the crane/lifting industry
- Strong mobile crane experience
- Previous experience supervising crews or crane operations
- Strong understanding of lifting operations, safety and compliance
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
- Ability to read and understand lift plans and relevant documentation
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- A proactive attitude and strong work ethic
- Relevant crane, rigging or dogging tickets/licences
