- Intermediate Interior Designer | $110K–$130K + Super

I'm recruiting for an established Design & Construct business looking to grow its Sydney design team. They're potentially looking for two people and are genuinely open to different levels of experience.
You could be a strong Intermediate ready for more responsibility, or a seasoned Senior Interior Designer approaching Associate level. What's more important is your commercial workplace experience, how you work and the level of responsibility you're comfortable taking on.
They're looking for someone who's hands-on, can work autonomously and is confident dealing directly with clients. Ideally, you'll already understand the pace of a Design & Construct environment, although strong commercial workplace interiors experience is much more important.
What you'll be doing
- Design and develop commercial workplace projects
- Space plans and work hands-on in Revit
- Deal directly with clients throughout the design process
- Prepare presentations and design material using InDesign
- Coordinate consultants and wider project teams
- Remain involved as projects move from design into delivery
- Take ownership of your work and manage your time autonomously
- Genuine hybrid flexibility, potentially 1–2 days WFH
- Flexibility considered around the individual rather than a rigid policy
- Small Sydney design team with the backing of an established national business
- Direct client exposure and project ownership

- Interior Design qualifications
- Strong commercial workplace interiors experience
- Design & Construct experience ideally, but not essential
- Strong Revit skills, particularly space planning
- Confident using InDesign
- Comfortable dealing directly with clients
- Able to work autonomously while remaining genuinely hands-on
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Someone ambitious who enjoys taking ownership of their work
- Full, unrestricted Australian working rights (no sponsorship available) and currently residing in Australia

They're not looking to micromanage or watch the clock. They want someone who's ambitious, wants to be there, takes ownership of their work and can be trusted to get on with it.
