About You

• Previous estimating experience within HV, ASP, utilities or electrical infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of High Voltage systems and distribution networks.
• Demonstrated experience pricing HV networks and associated infrastructure.
• Ability to interpret electrical and civil construction drawings.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project costs.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tenders.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with relevant estimating software and Microsoft Office.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates and tender submissions for High Voltage, ASP and electrical infrastructure projects.
• Complete quantity take-offs and labour, material, plant and subcontractor costings.
• Review electrical and civil drawings, specifications and scopes of work.
• Price HV networks, substations, underground infrastructure and electrical reticulation works.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Conduct site inspections and identify project risks and opportunities.
• Develop tender methodologies, programs and resource requirements.
• Liaise with clients, network providers, suppliers and subcontractors throughout the tender process.
• Manage tender clarifications and assist with commercial negotiations.
• Support the handover of successful tenders into project delivery teams.

Highly Regarded

• Level 1 ASP project experience.
• Private HV network experience.
• Electrical trade or relevant technical qualification.
• Experience across substations, underground services and reticulation.
• Understanding of NSW distribution network standards and requirements.

Our client has a strong presence across the electrical infrastructure sector, delivering projects throughout commercial, industrial, utilities, infrastructure and private network environments. With a strong pipeline of upcoming work, they are looking to strengthen their estimating capability with an experienced HV professional.

The Role Working closely with the Estimating Manager and wider project delivery team, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates across High Voltage, ASP, private network and electrical infrastructure projects.

This is a hands-on estimating position covering the full tender lifecycle, from initial enquiry and take-offs through to final submission, negotiations and project handover.
