About the Role

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join Nordex's Australian engineering team, supporting the delivery of wind energy projects from development through to construction and commissioning.
This is a hands-on technical role covering electrical systems, HV components, grid integration and project delivery, working closely with internal engineering teams, clients, consultants and network stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Provide electrical engineering support across wind energy projects.
  • Support the design, specification and technical review of HV electrical systems and components.
  • Work across HV equipment including transformers, switchgear, substations, cables and associated electrical systems.
  • Support grid connection, electrical studies and compliance requirements.
  • Review technical documentation, electrical drawings and engineering deliverables.
  • Work with internal and external engineering consultants, suppliers and project stakeholders.
  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of electrical and technical issues throughout project delivery.
  • Assist with technical procurement and evaluation of electrical equipment and components.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes, standards and technical solutions.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years' experience in electrical engineering, ideally within renewable energy, power generation or a related industry.
  • Experience with HV electrical systems, equipment and components.
  • Understanding of electrical networks, protection systems and relevant Australian standards.
  • Experience working with engineering consultants, contractors, suppliers or project stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience with renewable energy, wind, solar or grid connection projects will be highly regarded.
