About the Role:
You’ll drive environmental compliance across a BESS project under construction, finalise approvals and management plans for upcoming projects, work closely with key stakeholders, and help shape environmental compliance across a growing portfolio of utility-scale projects.
Responsibilities:
- Manage environmental approvals, management plans, consents and regulator engagement.
- Monitor contractor compliance through site inspections, audits and reporting.
- Maintain compliance registers, approvals and environmental obligations.
- Lead environmental incident response, investigations and corrective actions.
- Coordinate audits and ensure actions are effectively closed out.
- Develop systems and processes to improve environmental compliance across projects.
- Manage key stakeholder relationships and drive continuous improvement.
- Environmental management experience across Australian energy or infrastructure projects.
- Consultancy background highly regarded.
- Strong knowledge of environmental approvals, compliance and regulatory processes.
- Experience working across construction projects with contractors and consultants.
- Confident stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Hands-on approach to site inspections, audits and compliance.
- Renewable energy experience across solar, wind, BESS or transmission highly desirable.
- Relevant environmental or engineering qualification.
