I am currenlty wanting to speak with Safety Advisors with experience working on civil constructuion projects in QLD. This position is to support a well-established civil construction contractor on a long-term contract basis.

It is a part-time opportunity (3 days per week), ideal for someone looking for flexibility while still being embedded in a busy project environment.

Working closely with site and project teams to drive a strong safety culture across civil infrastructure works, the role will be based on site 3 days per week

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site safety inspections and audits across civil construction activities
• Support implementation and continuous improvement of WHS systems and procedures
• Assist with incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions
• Provide practical, on-the-ground safety guidance to supervisors and site teams
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, codes of practice, and client requirements
• Promote a proactive safety culture across all site personnel and subcontractors

About you

• Minimum Cert IV Health & Safety
• Proven experience in a Safety Advisor / HSE role within civil construction
• Strong understanding of WHS legislation and site compliance requirements
• Confident working independently across active construction sites
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence site teams
• White Card
