About the Role:
ACRWORLD are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to provide technical leadership and operational support across a diverse portfolio of renewable energy assets, including wind and hydro, with BESS assets to be integrated in the future.
This role sits at the intersection of asset operations, engineering excellence, safety, and project delivery, supporting both existing assets and new developments across their full lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on electrical engineering support across wind, hydro and future BESS assets, ensuring safe, reliable operation of HV/LV systems and rapid resolution of technical issues.
- Assess asset condition, lead reliability-centred maintenance strategies, manage GPS compliance, and deliver targeted upgrades to optimise long-term performance.
- Deliver electrical upgrade and improvement projects end-to-end, managing contractors, budgets, and technical outcomes.
- Support new developments and acquisitions through technical due diligence and commissioning, while championing a strong, site-first safety culture.
- Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering
- Preliminary knowledge of SCADA and control communications system
- Experience working with AVR’s, generators, transformers, protection schemes and switchgear and associated HV & LV apparatus.
- Knowledge of the National Electricity Rules and interfacing with AEMO, TNSP’s, and DNSP’s.
- Strong written, verbal, and stakeholder communication skills.
