Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Town Planner to join their team on the Gold Coast.
Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced planner looking to take the lead on a variety of urban, residential, and mixed-use development projects. As a Senior Town Planner, you’ll play a key role in managing development applications, engaging with stakeholders, and contributing to strategic planning initiatives across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and assessment of complex development applications.
- Provide sound planning advice to clients, local government, and internal teams.
- Draft high-quality planning reports, submissions, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with consultants, councils, and stakeholders to facilitate project approvals.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
- Assist in the delivery of strategic planning projects, rezonings, and master planning exercises.
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning or a related field.
- 5–10 years' planning experience in either the public or private sector (ideally within Queensland).
- Solid understanding of the QLD planning framework
- Strong communication and report writing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
- Confident engaging with clients, council officers, and community stakeholders.
