A leading structures contractor with a 20+ year track record of delivering high-value, technically challenging projects across NSW, ACT, and QLD is seeking a high-calibre Senior Quantity Surveyor or Senior Contracts Administrator to join their team. Specialising in formwork, reinforcing, and concrete (FRP) packages on projects typically exceeding $50M, this contractor is known for its strong leadership, people-first culture, and genuine investment in staff development.

The Opportunity
Due to sustained growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, we are now recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Senior Contract Administrator to commercially lead one of the company’s major projects. You'll take ownership of the financial and contractual aspects of the job, while working closely with both internal teams and client stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Cost Planning & Budget Control: managing budgets, estimates, forecasts, and cost reports
- Procurement & Subcontractor Management: preparing tender packages, scopes, BOQs, and negotiating contracts
- Contract Administration: managing head and subcontract agreements, time-related notices, EOTs, and compliance
- Variation Management & Progress Claims: identifying, pricing, and submitting variations; preparing and assessing progress claims
- Stakeholder Management: acting as the commercial lead between site teams, clients, and subcontractors
- Dispute Avoidance & Resolution: identifying risks early and managing claims or disputes with professionalism and accuracy
- Team Leadership: mentoring junior CA/QS staff and ensuring best practice processes are followed
- Commercially astute professional who can hit the ground running and lead from the front.
- Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering or related field
- 7+ years post-grad experience, ideally with exposure to structural trades or FRP packages
- Strong contract knowledge, ideally across both Schedule of Rates and Lump Sum contracts
- Experience in Jobpac (or similar systems) will be highly regarded
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
- A proactive mindset with a focus on risk mitigation, accuracy, and long-term value
