About the role
This is a great opportunity for a Structural Engineer with some Post-Tensioned Concrete skills who relishes working on a variety of projects.
We are seeking an outgoing, ambitious Engineer with excellent communication, a keen eye for detail, and high proficiency in report writing and documentation.
Your role will be varied, you will perform site inspections and identify structural and non-structural defects building defects. You will compile dilapidation reports based on site visits.
The role offers the opportunity to undertake a range of responsibilities that will include site visits, forensic investigations, building inspections, documentation/photographs, writing reports, specifications and major defect rectification/problem resolution, design assessments and tender estimations.
The ideal candidate will be able to work under direction, you will have a drive and motivation for self-development and improvement.
Key Responsibilities, Skills and Qualification
- A Structural Engineer with around 2 years of industry experience
- Design Coordination
- Project Coordination
- Design Assessments
- Preliminary design and some detailed design - including PT design
- Estimation, assessing and preparing tenders and submissions
- Post tensioning and Structural Remedial Works
- Site investigations and reporting
- Coordination with clients
- Preparing quotes
- Responding to all emails and phone calls, both internally and externally within a reasonable timeframe.
- Maintain and create client relationships to help further build the company profile
- Bachelor’s degree in structural engineering or building construction or a similar field
- Full working rights in Australia
